|A seborrheic keratosis is a non-cancerous collection of mature skin cells in the skin that are rough in texture and have a “stuck on” appearance. They are usually skin tone, pink or brown. They make get inflamed and have a red rim, but this will resolve once the irritation stops. They most commonly occur on individuals after the age of forty (40).
Seborrheic keratosis can be removed by cryosurgery, electrocautery, shave removal or minimized by exfoliating agents.
